Teaching

Having previously taught music at secondary school level and worked as a peripatetic teacher, I’m currently available to teach flute and beginner piano lessons to people of all ages.

As well as teaching the theory and techniques of the instrument I feel I am also able to provide a unique capability; to teach students the art of performance.  This comes from my expertise in performing, honed over the last 30+ years, in addition to my M.A. in Music (Performance) and learning experiences with leading flautists in the UK.

In 2017 I did something completely different and volunteered on a Performing Arts programme in the Galapagos islands teaching music and English, read my Volunteer Story to hear all about it!

Availability

Available evenings and weekends, students can either visit me at home (Medway towns) or I’m willing to travel within a reasonable radius of home or central London (week evenings only).
