Daily thoughts… Day 31 of 366

Wow, I can’t believe I actually managed to write every day for a whole month! I remember going on a course where they said that if you do something continuously for 30 days it becomes a habit (the same can be said for breaking a habit), but I looked it up and apparently it’s 66 days 😆

One of the Agile ceremonies is a retrospective every two weeks, where we think about what went well, what didn’t and what we might do/stop doing, so this evening I did a mini-retro and reflected on how it’s gone.

Thinking about my experience of writing my blog – overall I’ve really enjoyed it. It’s made me think about the things I do and why I do them, and reminded me of all the wonderful people I know, socialise and work with. I’ve also had some lovely comments and messages from people, which I’ve really appreciated – so thank you if you have liked / commented / contacted me ♥

I also like writing and the process of writing, although I know my style could probably do with some improvements. I sometimes ask the AI Assistant what she thinks of my posts, she’s is generally positive about them although thinks I should maybe put in some headings. Maybe I would do this if my posts were longer… something to think about.

The main con is that doing this daily is quite time consuming and I have been burning the candle at both ends (one of my colleagues tells me off when I’ve posted late in the evening!). I’m definitely going to continue, because the reason I started it was to document my 50th year on the planet, but need to consider the frequency.

If you have enjoyed my ‘daily thoughts’: shall I try to continue daily or move to weekly posts? Please let me know what you think… many thanks!
